Simply an amazing album - By: D. A. Kent, 08 Jul 2010
i had recently found it difficult to come across new exciting "indie" music, but this album simply is amazing, it fulfilled everything i have been looking for. Always like this, Evening/Morning & Dust on the Ground are the standout songs for me on this. I can never get bored of this album it really is simply amazing the only album that could have fulfilled this would be the xx.
Best CD I've bought for years - By: J. Head, 07 Jul 2010
Tracks 1 & 12 are iffy, but rest of this CD is very simply the best I've heard for years..........
bombastic bicycle club - By: Mr. C. O'donnell, 03 Jun 2010
I had the blues & they shook them loose.I had my first listen to a band by the name of 'Bombay Bicycle Club' on zane lowe backin april 2009.It goes without saying that i was hooked straight away with the originality & diversity of this album. For me the stand out track has to be the 1st single 'always like this' & i havent tired of it yet.
In fact you should all give this album at least 1 listen & i guarantee you won't regret it.So go on,treat your senses because i think there is more indie brilliance to come from these londonersin the shape of their soon to be released acoustic album 'Flaws' out next month.Im off now to listen to their EP 'How we are' from 3 years ago & i have high hopes for this 1 aswell.ENJOY!I Had The Blues But I Shook Them Loose
One to Watch - By: V. Charles, 02 May 2010
I remember these guys opening V Festivalin 2006 after winning the Road to V competition, but it wasn't until 'Always Like This' was highlightedin Metro's singles of the week (with the review 'if you don't dance to this, you have no feet') that I checked them out again. Very glad I did - apart from the aforementioned single & debut single 'Evening/Morning' (both with incredible riffs), there are some truly standout classics here, including 'Lamplight', 'Magnet' & near-anthemic 'What If'. Overall, it's a remarkably polished effort for a debut, & from a band so young. Now they've won NME's Best New Band Award - previously won by MGMT, Arctic Monkeys, Kings of Leon, The Libertines, Coldplay, Muse, & The Strokes - it's definitely worth checking them out sooner rather than later.
