Best Stereo Sushi YET! - By: Wayne Baker, 09 Sep 2008
All I can say is WOW! This Stereo Sushi is the most uplifting one yet. I thought Vol 12 was pretty hot but Vol 13 just takes the cake!
It's so soulful, so funky & so screaming diva I just can't get enough of it! Muthafunkaz, DJ Spen, Barbara Tucker & Jasper St Co. all on one album! I love it! :) xxxx
rubbish - By: Mr. Russell C. Witheyman, 23 Aug 2008
God thes stereo sushi rleases just keep on getting worse & worse..i thought vol 12 was crap but this is just as bad. The quality control has definately left hed kandi since mark doyles departure a couple of yrs back. CD 1 is very very weak. Only tracks 2 & 5 are worth a mention at all. CD2 is slightly better but not much. Ive got the most of the other stereo sushis & there all excellent but the last 2/3 albums have been poor..avoid this!!
Tasty perfection - By: D Mcfarlane, 11 Aug 2008
Really solid & quality compilation from Stereo Sushi i got my copy this morning & i have to say they have just hit the nail on the head with this release. Disk one is definitely the strongest of the two! uber uplifting gospel & praise house its just perfection!! Disk two has more emphasis on the soulful & disco sides.
My favorites include..
Key To Life Feat. Kathleen Murphy - Find Our Way
Anthony Romeno - I Won't Let You Go
Fanatix Feat. Dionne Mitchell & Sterling Ensemble - Open Your Eyes
They just keep getting stronger & stronger.. i hadnt really expected another release this year, im really glad they did.
Its a good year for soulful & deep house... & a wonderful one for Stereo Sushi.
Highly Recommended!!
Get some Sushi on the Stereo! - By: K. CLACK, 08 Aug 2008
This release has to be the best from the guys so far with 24 of the finest US House & Garage tracks around. With no less than 5 remixes from the Muthafunkaz plus rewokings & tracks from Richard Earnshaw as well. The first CD of the album is great with an almost Gospel feel to it with tracks from Barbara Tucker, Marc Evans, Jasper St. Company & SuSu Bobien as well as the brilliant new remix of Jon Cutlers track, Its Yours by DJ Fudge. Aaron Ross's Fanatix project - Open Your Eyes is another favourite of mine which has to be one of the standout tracks on the album.
On the second disc, the brilliant Love Crazy by Warren Clarke starts. The magic doesn't stop there for me with tracks from Joi Cardwell, Danism, Panevino, Richard Earnshaw, Reel People & also Darryl D Bonneau to choose from. Richard Earnshaw's Vocal ReTouch of the Soulmakers Falling has to be up there. If you are a DJ or someone who loves US House & Garage, then this is your album.
