Enya Eats Prawn Crackers - By: M. Adams, 10 Oct 2008
This is awful. It sounds as if it has been designed by committeein a calculated bid to summon up images of Chinain the western mind, as imagined by a particularly mediocre bunch of advertising execs. It has no spark of originality or spirit, & only sounds "Chinese" through the most superficial sprinkling of appropriate instruments.
Kind of "Enya eats Prawn Crackers". Avoid at all costs.
Nothing but hype and tinsel - By: N. Rogall, 20 Aug 2008
This is bland MTV Canto-pop masquerading as 'exotic', 'spiritual' Chinese Mongolian world music. The record is dull & overproduced. I saw her perform at the World Music Prom - her performance was all style & glitz, no substance. She seemed totally plastic, unlike the brilliant other acts (Bassekou Kouyate, Son De La Frontera, to name but 2) that performed there. Give this a miss
Unique experience - By: Mr. E. Lee, 20 May 2008
The first 2 times I played the album, I burst into tears on each occasion.
There is somethingin this music which I can't farthom why it does that to me. It is a unique experience which makes me feel more motivated to be alive.
LOVE ALL OF IT - By: Annie B, 21 Apr 2008
This album is great & unique. Its one of those albums that once you have listened to it once the music is stuckin your head & you find yourself keep humming the tunes.
