Fave singer!!!! - By: michael, 25 Nov 2008
This CD is great Miley is my fave singer & this album is probably a way of moving on from Hannah Montana. Anyway I would reccomend this CD to any Miley fan! Fave songs are 7 things & see you again.
Over the hill (and far away) - By: Amanda Richards, 25 Aug 2008
If you're over the hill (i.e. past your tween years) then this probably isn't your kind of music. Like the Jonas Brothers et al, this is bubblegum pop, targeted at a new generation of music fans - after all, each generation needs SOMETHING to raise the hackles of their parents.

Cyrus co-wrote eight of the twelve tracks on the album, & two of the remaining four are covers. Surprisingly, after a few dozen listening experiences from the confines of the car, there are a few tracks that have grown on me, or perhaps I've grown accustomed to her voice.

The safe tracks are "Breakout" (one of the tracks she didn't write); "7 Things"; "Full Circle"; "Simple Song" (another one she didn't write); "Goodbye" & "See You Again". (Actually, the ones I've picked are the ones where she sounds like Avril Lavigne). There's also "Fly on the Wall" which sounds like a G-rated Pussycat Dolls song.

Warning!! If you're a fan of `80s music it's advisable to skip track four, as you don't wanna listen to this version of "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" (Trust me on this one)

Rated:
For tweens 4.5 stars
For old coots 3 stars

Recommended as a gift for that special tween on your list

A Delightful Shock... One Of My Favourite CDs - By: barb, 21 Aug 2008
Because of all the bad press about Miley taking very personal pictures of herself, I was unsure if I would like this CD. My mum got it for me on my 14th Birthday & at first I only liked a few tracks but now I love the whole CD. My favourite song on the album is probably Girls Just Wanna Have Fun as its an upbeat version that reminds me of songsin musicals. There is a mixture of fast & slow songs that get stuckin your head the first time you hear them. The free 60 day trial of mileyworld.com was just the perfect bonus. I would recommend this to any Miley Cyrus or Hannah Montana fan, or just to anyone that likes pop/rock songs. THE BEST CD OF THE YEAR!!!!!!!!
Ummmm - By: A. Jahan, 19 Aug 2008
I have to say I am not a fan of Miley or Hannah but I do actually like 3 of the songs... 7 Things: (I don't think it's about Nick Jonas because his friends aren't jerks) it's really catchy & you can kinda vent your thoughts & feelings when listening to it, Full circle is really catchy & fly on the wall is just cool!!
Wake up america... I'm sorry Miley but you're asking america to wake up when your probably worse than them... talk about contradicting.
I think the song breakout it too corny, I was hoping it would be catchy like Hilary Duff's Wake up but I was disappointed with what it actually was.
The rest of the songs are just blah, I can't even remember them.
I think Disney has produced better singers like Demi Lovato who has an absolutely amazing voice!! So I would recommend Demi's new album Don't Forget over this.
She does it again - By: Mr. Joseph T. Breeze, 02 Aug 2008
Well like it saysin the title Miley Cyrus has done it again with another fantastic album.
1)BREAKOUT-a fantastic example of what Miley is all about Rock/Pop with a Country twang.
2)7 Things-one of my favorite songs with beautiful pop verses & a rather heavy rock chorus. Fanyastic.
3)DRIVEWAY-a beautiful power ballad.
4)GIRL'S JUST WANNA HAVE FUN-better than the first version as insted of a computerised pop backing track it has a fantastic rock backing.
5)FULL CIRCLE-another great song from Miley the only problem with it is there isn't realy a big impact with it.
6)FLY ON THE WALL-probably my favorite upbeat song on the album as it has a great techno/rock backing track.
7)BOTTOM OF THE OCEAN-a beautiful song that could easily tack the place of Celene Dione's MY HEART WILL GO ONin Titanic.
8)WAKE UP AMERICA-a catchy upbeat song with a really good meaning behind it.
9)THESE FOUR WALLS-this is also a better remake of the song & Miley has improved it yet again. This song really shows off Miley's vocal tallent.
10)SIMPLE SONG-this is an interesting song as instead of haveing slow verses & a fast chorus it has a fast verse & a slow chorus very cleverly put together.
11)GOODBYE-another great slow song from Miley.
12)SEE YOU AGAIN REMIX-not such a fan of this one as i believe they should have left this classic song alone but still a great song.
