This CD & the film its taken from has become a phenomenon. The children of Agape & their amazing, uplifting, harmonious voices have wowed audiences across the globe. I saw them sing with Annie Lennox at the Mandela 90th birthday concert & pre-ordered the 'We Are Together' DVD straight away.
When so many thingsin the world are sombre & dark; this music really will lift your soul & make you realise how much hope & optimism is out there.
Buy the CD. You won't regret it - & play your partin one of most talked about films of the year.

[] We Are Together - By: Gareth Ingham, 03 Aug 2008 After watching the documentary last night on TV I can't say I was suprised to find this CD at #1 on the bestsellers list.
The CD is a beautiful representation of South African music at its best. Not only that, the Children of Agape are such talented singers & I'm so glad a CD like this brings there music into more mainstream western society.
This is definately a MUST HAVE album!

We Are Together combines the Children's beautifully raw yet growing talents, throwsin a dose of unbelievable emotion & passion for the songs, & is then brought together by the support of some of Africa's most revered groups - Ladysmith & also the Soweto Gospel Choir. This CD really has it all.
The story about why a group of children from a orphanagein South Africa just happen to have a documentary film about them & have captured the hearts & minds of popstars, film stars & the public at large from the US, to Europe gets told most eliquentlyin the songs that play out on this CD that you need to add to your collection.

I am going to give this as a present to all my friends because I know of few other expressions of the human spirit that have moved me so much. Apart from the beauty of the music on this CD, if you buy it, you have the added satisfaction of knowing that all the profits go to the orphanage. See the film as well. You will leave the cinema a happier person knowing that such joy can be foundin even the harshest life.
