Ike Quebec sitsin jazz heaven rightly alongside Webster & Hawkins & Young as great saxophonists who paint picturesin the imagination as their music floats round the room.

Blue & Sentimental is perhaps his masterpiece featuring Paul Chambers on Bass, Philly Joe Jones on drums & Grant Green on guitar & the spaces sing as sweetly as the music.

Quebec is an unsung hero of Blue Note, first recording with themin 1944 he acted amongst many other things as a talent scout introducing countless up & coming names to Blue Note - including Dexter Gordon.

This album is one of the great jazz albums of all time & any collection missing it has a serious space - easily remedied by purchasing this stunning RVG edition.
