A must buy! - By: Mr. Marcus D. Griffiths, 22 Jun 2008
The Kooks have prooven with Konk/Rak that they've developed greatly from their first album.

Every song is distinguishable & keeps the joyful feel whilst listening.

Watching The Ships Roll In is a truely beautiful song &in my opinion is worth the extra £3 for the double CD album alone.

All the songs give the feeling that they have all had an even ammount of time putin to them, I couldn't find a bad song!

Konk/Rak is definitely worth every penny!

good album and a great new sound! - By: S. Nicholl, 03 May 2008
i loved the kooks first album, & this is an impressive return. luke pritchard writes pretty much all the songs on the albums & really steps up to the always difficult second album. there's a different feeling with this new album & the sound is more mature & developed! the songs are more creative guitar wise & luke's vocals are very impressive! the second disc is a good effort & has a few different sound i hope they incorporate into future albums. the most exciting band aroundin british music at the moment & a solid effort!!!!!!!!!!
RAK is good - By: G. Donohoe, 28 Apr 2008
Listening to it now.

Very good, worth getting the special edition if you are gonna buy the album at all.
Definitely worth the extra few quid.. - By: G. Heyes, 19 Apr 2008
In my opinion, Rak is brilliant. I've listened to it more than Konk infact, I was just amazed at how the Kooks have progressed & how they are experimenting with some really different sounds.. if it weren't for Luke's voice on a couple of tracks you would never guess it was them, they've really broadened their sound on this cd.

Shows this band have really got talent, so DEFINITELY go for the double cd version.
Good album with great extra CD - By: M. Askwith, 19 Apr 2008
'Rak' is very good, i'm even tempted to say that it's better than Konk itself. On a few of the former's tracks Luke Pritchard doesn't sing but rather the lead guitarist Hugh. His voice has much more depth than Pritchard & makes for some amazingly emotive & deep songs. I think that Watching The Ships Roll In & No Longer are truly fantastic & much better than anything on Konk. These two tracks are worth the £12.95 or whatever it is that the album costs, & are definitely good enough to warrant buying the limited edition copy rather than the normal version.

Trust me, the progression of the band & the use of Hugh's amazing voice is something definitely worth listening to.
