Let's see,you get one of the most powerful voicesin modern bluesin Omar Kent Dykes (yes he of Omar & the Howlers),add a guitar legendin the shape of the wonderful Jimmy Vaughan,get a great BBQ of boogie rhythms & you get this quite fabulous album.But wait add to this potent mix talents such as blues harp legend James Cotton,Kim Wilson from The Fabulous Thunderbirds,Delbert McClinton & you just can't get a much better blues album.A tribute to Jimmy Reed (where would the blues be without his rhythms & his songs),and you get 12 tracks that include,'Bright Lights,Big City','Baby What You Want Me To Do' & 'Big Boss Man'.Plus a few original songs for this set.
Surely one of the very best releases of the past year,guaranteed to win major blues awards,This is blues of the very highest level,and to boot one great party from beginning to end,45 minutes of boogie pleasure.
