Mixed Up! - By: Jux to Def, 06 Nov 2008
I think a lot of the below reviews were supposed to be posted on the page for their recent album - Untitled. This is actually their eponymous debut album first releasedin 1994. It is ultramegawickedsickmint!
Maturing in style..... - By: J. Abraham, 24 Jul 2008
KoRn have matured well - I thought with Head leaving the fold that the sound would be affected...and....it was....it got more raw & experimental & actually BETTER......there are a couple of fillers...but plenty of KILLERS......buy it you won't regret it....!
Different, but still Brilliant - By: John Donald, 09 Nov 2007
As a long-time Korn fan (and I've got the balding head to prove it, lol) I have gone through all the changesin the bands history & while they've had their good & bad moments, I've enjoyed most of the stuff they have produced and, IMO, this album deserves to be put up there with their best. I started to worry they were losing their edge with 'Take a Lookin the Mirror' & 'See You On the Other Side', but this album has restored my faithin a big way. Experimental, & much the better for it, the sound is new, but still definitely Korn.

From the haunting Intro & storming opening track 'Starting Over', that dissolves into the haunting emotion we love from Jonathan Davis, you know you'rein for something great. 'Evolution' & 'Hold On' hark back to the older stuff & will keep the MTV brigade happy, but the standouts, for me at least, are the amazing 'Innocent Bystander', the afore-mentioned 'Starting Over' & the scarily haunting 'Hushabye'.

All-in-all an absolutely outstanding album that any forward thinking Korn fan, & any other 'experimental music' fan, should love. This is the culmination of the changes the band were trying to show on SYOTOS & to see it work so well gives me great hope for the future. See you all down the front on their UK tourin January!
Interesting listen - By: Martin Newman, 03 Nov 2007
On first listen I thought this album it was okay but that was it. However after playing it continually on a 6 hour car journey & I can appreciate its quality.

The album is difficult to explain it goes to a whole new level of complexity compared to previous albums. The songs contain some great segments where the song suddenly changes pace, style or direction completely & can go from heavy riffing to keyboard work. At the same time there is always lots going onin the background if you listen closely (headphones are good). The singing is as distinctive as ever, I really like Johnathon's death-grunt at the end of Killing. He shows his full vocal range on this album.

There are no particular stand out tracks I think they all combine to give a dark & at the same time uplifting album. I do think that the Intro sets the scene perfectly for what you will hear.

The style is close to Untouchables, which is my favourite Korn album, so no surprise that I like this. I think this one is equally as good because it pushes musical boundaries & experiments with different instruments & sounds even more.

Overall this is an excellent album & shows that the band are still at the top of their game.

I recommend several listens Keeping an open mind & open ears to fully appreciate its quality.
Very disappointed - By: J. A. Palmer, 08 Oct 2007
I've been a Korn fan since day one. Unfortunately I am extremely disappointed with this album. To begin with I was with the last album. I felt it lacked a second guitar since Head's departure. However, upon repeated listens 'See You On The Other Side' grew on me & I think it is excellent & shows how a band can mauture & grow.

'Untitled' however simply has not, & the more I have listened to it the less I have liked it. I understand bands have to mature, but there is maturing to full bodied & maturing to aged & stale. This latest album from Korn, for me, is the latter.
