This is the soundtrack of one of the best & most memorable films I have seen this year. The CD is a wondeful reminder of the beauty of Piafs singing, Cant wait for the DVD to come out if you can see ther Film It contains all the songs from the film except the French National Anthem sung while a child which I owuld have liked on there, there are many other titles that are not by Paif but nset the scene of her life.

Veteran Christopher Gunning, best known for his television work on "Poirot" has been scoring music since 1970 (try & find his exceptional "Goodbye Gemini" aka "Twinsanity" soundtrack on Harkit Records).
The choice for scoring this work (wrongly described as a biopic; more a series of scenes from Edith Piaf's life really), works especially well.
Highly recommended.
