Excellent - By: YoungB, 14 May 2006
This is Kanye's fifth album, there were two freshman adjustments & the two proper studio albums, & it is one of the best. The live performances are brilliant. Kanyes voice may be simmalar to how he is on the albums, but the orchestra is an excellent addition to the songs.
Kanye west is the future of hip hop. All of these songs are brilliant. The best tracks are propbably touch the sky & through the wire. Although only thirteen tracks long this album definately impresses. Gold Digger shouldn't really be on here but still it is an excellent song.
You have to get this as Kanye is an excellent performer judging by this & his Brits performance, was that hot ao what? I haven't seen him live yet but am hoping to when he next comes to England.
So, this is brilliant, look out for Graduation!
Undone by polished performances! - By: mssmith1, 05 May 2006
Part live album, part "unplugged album" (with the live strings) & part "greatest hits", this album didn't meet my expectations. I was expecting it to capture the feeling of the recent "Touch the Sky Tour", but bar a few cheers at the start of the tracks, it fails to do so.

On some tracks, you can certainly tell it's a live orchestra & that Kanye is rapping on stage & notin a studio, but this is where the problem lies - Kanye is such a polished performer, & his production is so tight, that the live version isn't really that much different from the studio versions you hear on his albums.

I've seen the man live three times now, & would recommend that experience wholeheartedly. This album gets a much more cautious response - part of me says that if you've got Late Registration & The College Dropout, or if you're looking to capture the Kanye live experience, save your money. The other says that it's got all the big tunes & they sound good.
This is crazy! - By: Homerz2k, 01 May 2006
What can i say! I just bought this album today, & im a huge fan of kanye west. When i heard this, i was completly gobsmacked. I wasnt really bothered to buy this because i was waiting for the next album, but i thought id give it a shot. What a purchase!

The live versions put the recorded versions to shame. My favourite out of all of the live tracks include 'Through The Wire', although 'Diamonds From Sierra Leone' & 'Touch The Sky' were brilliant. This man is the next movementin hip hop, & who knows what hell do next. Ill tell all of you know, this is a must for every hip hop, classical, ah forget it....MUSICAL enthusiast out there!

Honestly, it wasnt necessary to put the gold digger track on it, because it wasnt at abbey road.

Never the less, this is completly solid & a fantastic effort by 'ye. Prepare for graduation!
