Not what I expected - By: G. Weaver, 09 May 2006
This is not a CD I would recomend to anyone who is looking for a varity of hot hits out now!
I will not buy another Now That's What I Call Music CD untill they make a CD with hits!
Now that's what I don't call music - By: Gavieboy, 03 May 2006
Some of the worest songs on offer here, one or two making it but the rest taking into the bad bracket, terrible bands trying to convince people that they can sing, gives music a bad name
Rubbish!!! - By: Pete Wentz's Fall Out Girl!!, 24 Apr 2006
I used to buy Nows all the time & they used to be great CDs packed with really up to date tunes! But this CD is poor- i mean some of the songs are good such as Fall Out Boy & Orson but i mean Liz Mclaron & Chico- wot has become of the world!
Avoid this CD is my advice!!
The weaker link - By: Mr. R. B. Ager, 16 Apr 2006
Every good chain has the odd weak link, & I have to say that No 63 may prove to be the Now series weakest. The trend towards making the collection so full of Radio 2 playlist material means that it has become more appropriate for Mothers or Fathers Day presents, rather than for the kids to buy as their Easter egg.

Of course there is the odd exception - you probably won't hear Wogan playing Son of Dork - but the fact that eight of the tracks owe their successin the charts to TV talent or reality shows, & another eight cover or sample old hits of the 70s/80s indicate the likely audience for much of it. There was a time when I felt there was too much dance & new rock included - now there's hardly any.

As far as topicality goes only seven tracks were stillin the Top 40 on release date, much lower than usual, & quite a few were hits before even Now 62 came out. Just five No 1s are included, not counting the exhumed Dead Or Alive oldie, though this will partly be because the dreary Shayne Ward & Nizlopi songs hogged the position for longer than is normal these days.

It has to be said that most of the tracks did achieve the Top Ten, so the collection continues to serve its remit of refelcting the pop chart. It's just that, even more than usual, the best tracks are on albums that many people will already have & the rest would five years ago barely have qualified as album fillers.
Brilliant! - By: Dark_Fairy, 15 Apr 2006
I think that this is a brilliant NOW! CD as it holds many brilliant songs on it such as the great Orson, Ordinary Boys,Corin Bailey Rae, Pussycat Dolls,BEP,Hi-Tack, Met ft. Leo Sayer,Kelly Clarkson, Son of Dork, Embracew, Sewn, Richard Ashcroft, Fall out Boy & Kubb. How can you slate this CD when it has such great tracks on?! I have only given it a 4 rating however beacuse it has tracks on it that didn't get into the Top Ten & some songs that did aren't on their. A must have CD altogether though.
