I've read someone say that they thought MC would be getting back to her days of old, well sorry, I loved MC backin the day when I was a teenager but she has only gotten better with age & I can't believe how much better she gets. I thought this was going to be another one for the back of the CD rack but she has really outdone herself on this one.
This album is truly awesome, every track is a potential hit, there's not one track I've skipped YET.
AMAZING.

When `The Voice' returned! - By: Jammy Dodgy, 21 Jun 2008 `The Emancipation of Mimi' will always be one of the biggest, most memorable of Mariah Carey's albums because this was the album which lifted her back onto her feet again. Piano-hugging smoothies `We Belong Together' & `Don't Forget About Us' promised fans that MC never infact parted with us! She was just offin the studio, working very HARD on a masterpiece of a comeback. She smacked those haters & doubtersin the face by scoring two more US #1's backin 2005. The album stirs 19 tracks long, but certainly proves that quantity can deliver quality.
Mid-tempo party hits `It's like That' & `To the Floor (featuring Nelly)' will have you dancingin no time, & bouncy Poppy number `Get Your Number (featuring Jermaine Dupri)' brightens the album & adds colour. There are five contemporary ballads on the albums: `Fly Like A Bird', `Mine Again', `Circles' & `I Wish You Knew'- the majority of them being under gospel-influences & all showing the elegance of Mariah's blossoming voice, which she most certainly proves has not deteriorated.

her singles are also great.
the worst track on this album has to be say something- i liked it at first but now i hate it.
The only one who can challenge mariah is herself.

Shes had the empire state building lit up for her, shes more successful than elvis & madonna, shes had 18 number ones & is not allowed to create an "Ultimate collection" because she's had too many hits!!
Its only the UK that dont respect this lady & im ashamed to be a part of this country if that is the case!
