Great album! - By: Oliver Waldron, 15 Aug 2007
I bought this album for 1 penny from Amazon (plus 1.24 postage & packing) & loved it. Apart from different people, I prefer this to Gold! It has the beautiful last song they recorded, When All Is Said And Done (Rare)
A cheap introduction to Abba's music - By: Peter Durward Harris, 18 Mar 2005
There are a few big UK hits here - Waterloo, Gimmie gimmie gimmie, SOS, The name of the game & Lay all your love on me - but this is not (and does not pretend to be) a greatest hits collection. There are other compilations available (at a higher price) that fulfil that purpose.
Among the other tracks, originally released on various albums, my favorites here are Rock me, Gonna sing you my love song, When I kissed the teacher, Why did it have to be me & the minor UK hit, Ring ring.
With sixteen tracks at a budget price, this collection offers a selection of hits & album tracks that will appeal to those who don't want (or can't afford) to spend much money on Abba. It is not meant for the serious Abba collector, who will end up buying all the tracks elsewhere, although there are a few die-hards who must have every compilation.
The best of Abba - By: , 03 Jan 2005
With tracks like: Waterloo, Gimme Gimme Gimme, SOS & Lay All Your Love On Me this is a very good album. Ideal for a present to an Abba fan as it contains songs which are not on the Abba Gold. Extremely low priced. If you want to get an Abba album start off with this one.
another compilation???? - By: , 01 Oct 2002
hot on the heels of "the definitive collection" & the 10th anniversary issue of "abba gold",you may ask what's this for?
apart from a few tracks that aren't "compilation regulars" (ie: why did it have to be me & gonna sing you my love song) which i assume are aimed at the abba novice with the hope of them getting their albums, long time fans won't see the necessity of adding yet another compilation to their collection.
