If you buy only one CD in 2002, make it this one. - By: bee@reidhome15.fslife.co.uk, 14 Feb 2002
This is the first album by Ruthie that I have bought, but it certainly won't be the last. Ever since being spellbound by her voicein Les Miserables as Fantine, I have looked forward to hearing more. Her passionate performance of these beautiful songs further convince me that Ms Henshall has one of the finest voices around today!
The best chillout album in a while. - By: , 09 Dec 2001
Ok, this CD covers songs sung by many others before e.g "Live to Tell" by Madonna. "The Man With The Childin His Eyes" by Kate Bush. "Songbird" by Eva Cassidy. But Ruthie sings them with her own style & uniqueness. Everyone of these songs you could listen to over & over. Most the songs are quite spiritual, therefore relaxing. Here is a songlist:
Songbird
After the Rain
Never Again
Chasing the Clouds
When two Worlds drift apart
If you believe
Wet
Hushabye Mountain
Live To Tell
The man with the childin his eyes
This time around (from peggy sue got married)
Maybe Im Wrong
Ordinary Miracles
Pilgrim.
This is a truly inspirational album, by THE musicals diva of all time.
