Breathtaking emotional evokation - By: Steven Cook, 06 Dec 2002
This album evokes all kinds of emotionin me, the songs are so astounding beautiful & well produced that this is an album like Romanza & Sogno that simply must be acquired.
The man is an absolute miracle.
The standout tracks are hard to find as they all stand outin their own spectacular way, but my favourites are Mille lune mille onde, & the amazing il mistero de l'amore, aswell l'Abitudine, resta qui, & mascagni.
A wonderful introduction to Andrea Bocelli - By: , 16 Jul 2002
I borrowed this CD from the library, played it over & over again & hated to think of returning it as it was such a beautiful album. A clever mix of contemporary sound with orchestra & the voice of Bocelli was simply wonderful. Why had I not discovered him before? I particularly liked Melodramma but also loved the diversity of the other tracks.
An absolutely outstanding album by a beautiful singer - By: W. G. Allen, 06 Dec 2001
My introduction to Andrea Bocelli came via Time To Say Goodbye, with Sarah Brightman - so I went out & bought Romanza. Cieli Di Toscana, I feel, is much better. The first track (Melodramma) is so moving, the last (bonus) track (TornerĂ  La Neve) is outstanding, & I love all thosein between. The video track is extremely well done, & sets the scene for the whole album. As well as providing tremendous variety, a great plus for me (as a student of the Italian language) is that every word is perfectly enunciated.
Not his best album - By: , 26 Nov 2001
I was happy to run across this new Andrea Bocelli CD without hearing anything about its releasein advance. However, this CD isn't as enjoyable as his previous work. First, there is his voice... it sounds as if he's getting over a cold & his voice is nasal/congested on a few tracks. Not what you'd expect from someone with formal voice training.

Second, the arrangements & instrumentation is dated & somewhat cheap sounding. Too much sythesizer when orchestra should have been used. The sound engineering also dumbed down the orchestra. It just sounds a little too early '90's for me.

Despite my negative comments, the CD has grown on me & the lyrics are, as usual, profoundly beautiful.

Cieli di Toscana is breathtaking! - By: , 28 Oct 2001
Without a shadow of a doubt I believe Cieli di Toscana is the finest pop album Andrea Bocelli has recorded, that's not to say Romanza & Sogno aren't wonderful, but this album is so beautiful it take's my breath away.
On this album are some of the most beautiful songs you will ever hear, they speak of the emotions of a father, a lover & the love of Tuscany. From the beginning to the end, Mr Bocelli treats us & teases us with his wonderful voice ranging perfectly as always from baritone to tenor. The use of the orchestra, piano, guitar, violin & the Coroin combination with Mr Bocelli also thrill me.
It's very hard to speak of favourites, but on the strength of one week...Melodramma, Se la Gente Usasse il Cuore, Si Volto', L'Incontro - a tribute to Andrea's first born son with an introduction poem by Bono of U2 fame, E Mi Manchi Tu (The Premio Bocelli 2001 winner) & the delightful Il Diavolo e l'Angelo (Written by Bocelliin the eighties) is a real swinging song!!! I have loved Opera & classical music since I was a child & very rarely listened to pop until I discovered Andrea Bocelli's voice. I know I will play Cieli di Toscana as many times as his classical & opera albums - La Boheme, Verdi, Sacred Arias... Well there's no need for me to go on, I have all of Andrea Bocelli's albums.
I thoroughly recommend Cieli di Toscana - you'll love it.
