International superhits - By: Book Worm, 15 Jun 2008
'International superhits', (like most bands best of's), is probably the best place to start with Green Day if you're new to their music & want to hear more. You get a pretty good selection of their hits, as well as some more obscure stuff. At 21 tracks, this album has plenty to offer & I defy anyone to put on 'Basket Case' or 'When I Come Around' & not crack into a big grin. This album showcases what a good rock band should be, simple, loud & fun. You can't ask for much more than that. Well worth a try.
Punk Power! - By: Reviewer of Flitwick, 16 Jun 2007
I already had American Idiot & after going the the concert at the Bowlin 2005 i wanted to see wat the rest of their songs were like, i saw the album going cheap & decided to grab it, it didnt dissapoint. The songs are all individual & exciting to listen to, Basket case & Longview are huge amounts of fun & have catchy sounding rifts.
Green Day made their name with these songs & it isnt hard to see why. one listen & your hooked.
This a truly great collection of songs from a truly legendary band if you are into fun lively music, buy this album & laugh.
"Wonderful!" - By: Sweary, 02 Sep 2005
A very enjoyable party cd; bung itin the player & it does the headbanging job.
What can I say? It's a Greatest Hits, so chances are, if you're considering buying it, it's because you already like Green Day. As a belated introduction to the band, it's invaluable. Some weaker tracks have been included, & neither of the two new tracks (the openers) make much of an impact. But the likes of Longview, Basket Case, Brain Stew, Hitchin' a Ride & Good Riddance make up for it. Definately one for the collection, & perhaps an essential purchase for those who've only just started listening to Billie Joe, Mike & Tre after the success of American Idiot.
One thing though... why did one reviewer rate this album if he hates the band so much???
Warning, seriously good! - By: Shkandrij, 19 Aug 2005
Now that everyones got over how brilliant American Idiot was, people are going back & listening to some of the classics that this band recorded. This is the greatest collection of all their greatest songs, & includes mint tracks such as WARNING, MINORITY & BASKET CASE.
