Tantalisingly brilliant! - By: Alan, 18 May 2006
Enigma offer some of the best chillout music of modern times. Their eclectic mix of soothing layer sounds, uplifting vocals & powerful keyboard sounds & synths make this the most unique album there is.
Couple this with real instruments used to breathe life into many of the songs, & you have an album that stirs emotions & lifts you up.
It seems impossible for powerful songs, that contain heavy vocals, passionate lyrics & strong guitar riffs to still somehow calm & sooth the imagination; Enigma do this with tracks such as Gravity Of Love. As an album, if flows beautifully, with nearly 80 minutes of musical genius & great memory stirs.
Then, of course, there are the classics that most people have heard; Return to Innocence, which offers a fantastic cultural aspect into the album, & Sadeness Pt.1, which frankly, is sensational & extremely uplifting.
This is very unique style of chillout music, because it explores their feelings & rekindles othersin yourself. I recommend this album to anyone, no matter your music taste, because the tracks do so much more than reach the ears - they stayin the mind for a long time afterwards.

I adore Enigma, it's like anythig else, I know no group or artist who'd be that perfect, original, & exclusive like Michael Cretu! I have all 5 their albums, bought them the day they were out, & now I own this fantastic the best of... Buy it guys, don't even think!!!!:)
P.S.Like people here said, it's perfect for relaxation, sleep & etc.I always play it before sleep, helps to clear my mind, forget about all that happendin the lond day (night).
How did I manage to miss out on this for so long? - By: Malc, 03 Mar 2003
I had heard 2 or 3 Enigma hitsin the past & was impressed with the quality of the music & video content. Why I did not investigate them further at the time remains a mystery to me.
Thanx to Anniein the Village for reminding me how good Enigma is.
From the moment this CD dropped through my letter box, I have not stopped playing it. Cretu has been very creative herein blending his own imaginative style with a few samples from Carl Orf, tribal chants etc. The result is outstanding, the music is so spiritual, it touches your soul & engages you from start to finish. I cannot imagine anyone not loving this compilation!
The Best Songs From The Best Albums - By: , 27 Feb 2002
I was never really into this style of music until I began working shifts. I put this CD on & I am guranteed to fall asleep before then end of listening to the first song - not because it is boring, but because it clears your head & the background musics softly soothes!
