Sellers at his best - By: Mr. Mark J. Cairns, 18 Sep 2003
Not a Peter Sellers fan at all (especially hated the Pink Panther films) before I heard a snippit of this CD on the radio, but I am now, especially "We'll Let You Know" which is British humour at its best. Tells the tale of a theatre audition & you can hear both what's happening on stage & what the two guys holding the audition are doing / saying simulataneously. Superb use of Stereo. Worth it for this sketch alone. Love the rest to & can now understand why Sellers had the huge following he did when he was alive. Buy one. Dry wit doesn't come better than this.
Great material, "not-so-great" release - By: Dimitris Verionis, 06 Oct 2000
Of course, everything that comes out & is related to Peter Sellers can't fail to be great! The compilation of the songs & sketches is quite successful & , among others, it features some "top" moments like Sellers' versions of Beatles' tracks & other parodies of great successes of the 50s. Yet, compared to other CDs presenting Peter Sellers that have been released throughout the years, the layout is poor, and, apart from the titles of the tracks & the year they were recorded, it features no other details & no photos. On the other hand, for a "Sellers' beginner, it gives the picture & it presents some of the best talents Peter Sellers had! A man of genius!
