Hip hop and don't stop - By: Mr. R. Bennett, 14 Dec 2003
Several years on & this fantastic piece of audio-ware is stillin my multi-changerin my car. It truly is the most amazing album I have ever heard, ever since I've owned it i've been tapping the wheel to 'My writes', nodding my head to 'Oooh' & 'I C Y'all' & belting my lungs out to 'All Good'. When I put this CD on I skip track 1, the intro, & then play the whole of the rest of the CD right through. The depth & range of the tracks due to all the cameos on it really make it very listenable, as no two tracks are the same. It truly is my most favorite piece of hip-hop history, right next to Cypress Hill's 'Black Sunday' & Wu-Tang's 'Forever'.
If you haven't got the hint yet, you should be owning this album already, & if you don't, then shame on you, get it now!
Can't have been on 'Ghost Weed' - By: , 29 Aug 2001
As this is De La Soul's fifth album, you would expect them to run out of ideas, but they keep coming back to show us more talent & make us laugh harder. My particular favorite track is "The Art Of Getting Jumped" with its catchy chorus & interesting guitar riff which is pure excellence. Also, the weird noise just before & during the chorus can also be found on track 7 on their first album, FACT!
Top knotch,really good, what can i say. - By: ballbearing61@hotmail.com, 12 Mar 2001
De La Soul are basedin middlesborough & the unmistakable sound of their music is a tribute to all people who grew upin the area. With tracks like 'when i go home' & 'All the homies' this album will keep u entertained for a long long time. What makes 'artoficialintelligence' a particularly distinctive album is the simplicity of its beats. The clean, unmolested Hip-Hop grooves keep u coming back to this one time & time again.
It's All Good - By: , 24 Feb 2001
De La Soul are da bomb. Tracks to mention are "My Writes" "Thru Ya City" "All Good?" "Copa (Cabanga)" "The Art of Getting Jumped."
As you can see I named quite a few tracks which proves that this album is great. i don't have a favourite track.
All I can really say about this ablum is that it is one of the best comeback albums of all time. This Album also features many great hip hop stars like Busta Rhymes & Xzibit.
so for all HIP HOP fans buy this NOW.
Ain't No Young Boys Up in Here - By: , 04 Jan 2001
anyone who remembers the De La Soul that were 'of the old skool' may be slightly surprised at this highly innnovative new album. The raw beats & melodic accompaniments of their older tunes are still present, but the use of newer technology makes the whole affair seem almost too smooth. Couple this with the eloquent lyrics & stlye of some of Hip Hops most respected MC's & you are left with an album that should be on almost everyone's playlist. Throwin a few big name collaborations (Redman, Chaka Khan, Phife Dawg & the Beastie Boys to name but a few) & you are left with an album of pure backbone.
