This is just amazing Zep tunes & blues covers.played brilliantly & sung like only Chris can ,he does fitin very very well Page joined the Crows & we are so lucky it was recorded A BREATH of fresh air blowin through the ZEP material!!! Also being on stage with a group like this must take the pressure of Jimmy & he can then relax & just play. Im sure Page & maybe J P Jones will get a group like this & tour the world. Me I can not wait!!

I heard this CD pre-releasein a big record shopin Dublin, & thought it was an old Zep concert that had been given the re-mastering & digital enhancing treatment. I refused to leave until I'd heard the whole lot, & they eventually gave me a promo copy for myself!! What a treat for both Crowes & LZ followers. This CD contains a huge slice of Zeppelin live nostalgia, played with 3 guitars to get all the (Overdubbed) parts accurate. Page sounds straight & clean, & Mr Robinson delivers the vocal with a maturity & excellence that is stunning. It's a shame there is no original Crowes material given "the treatment" by this excellent band plus one. The bluesy based covers get an airing, too, & it would be easy to think of this as just a covers project. But just listen to the way the classics (like Sick Again, Heartbreaker, In my time of dying et al) are played. Great feel & poise. Remember, Jimmy is no stranger to collaborations (Coverdale/Page, The Firm, Jimmy Page & Friends, Hip young guitar slinger etc) & not all of them are his best work. But this is a real top bollocks effort. Superb.
A true gem! - By: Conolly Gage Esq, 09 Feb 2007 I first heard of this album when reading Mojo magazine the other month. Have a few Black Crowe albums & as for Zeppelin...well massive fan. Any ways was intrigued as just thought this might work...boy what a surprise! Once you have got over the fact that it isn't Robert Plant on vocals & excepted that actually Chris Robinson does a really good job, you get what can only be described as Led Zeppelin with a slightly different take! Pages guitar playing is as ever brilliant, & all the better for having two additional guitarists adding to the layers the master himself lays downin the studio. The production is spot on & allin all this is a must have album for any Lead Head...a true gem & one I cant recommend enough.
Few years old but still sounds good... - By: , 02 Apr 2006 I didn't know this album existed until scouriing an auction site recently..!! Found it cheaper on here & decided to give it a go,as a big Led Zep fan didn't know what to expect as although i like the BC & off course Jimmy Page i wondered how they'd handle Led Zep's catalogue. I needn't of worried, what an album & I wish i was there! The Lemon song is more meatier with Chris Robinson no Robert Plant but he makes a fine job of it......songs such as 'Oh well' & 'Whole Lotta Love' are real guitar driven songs & both sound excelllent as one would imagine with JPin the background. A great album & definitely one for the rack if you're a Zep fan.........gives the songs a whole new angle!
Awesome - By: , 05 Jan 2005 Unfortunately Led Zep was before my time & until the release of Led Zep's "How The West Was Won" I didn't realise what an incredible band they were. It just doesn't sufficiently come through on their studio albums. Similarly this live album by the Black Crowes is absolutely fantastic. I wasn't that familiar with Led Zep's album Physical Graffitti, but when you hear those songs played live by the Black Crowes & Jimmy Page you suddenly understand what all the hype is about. Highlights: Ten Years Gone, In My Time Of Dying, Your Time is Gonna Come. Must have.
