Jessica Simpson who can only be discribed as one of the best worldwide new commersin the pop/r'n'b/soul/gospel industry she is postivly followingin the foot steps of chart toppers such as Louise, Whitney Houston, Janet Jackson & of coure Celine Dion & Madonna. Unlike her infamous cousin Britney Spears Jessica Dueted with a Ballad which we all know is hard to do. But She prooved all the crititcs wrong when her deut single "I wanna love you forever" stormed the UK charts at No.7. A lot of people say this album has too many ballads present if you think that your off your box this album has it all, 11 tracks + 1 hidden track, two duets & one song straight from her heart.
I WANNA LOVE YOU FOREVER: very ahrd not to sing along to! very moving & imbracing also hard to exsplain but you can seen the reason 4 its first single realse with this track you get a god show of Jessica's AMAZING vocal talent. 10/10
I THINK I'M IN LOVE WITH YOU: Another ballad song but sung as a pop song amazing she has got some truley amazing producers. very poppy up to beat a classic no wonder the 3nd single! 9/10
WHERE YOU ARE (featuring Nick Lacey): This song often over lookedin the UK as the single was only a USA realse but its amazing Nick lacey slippinin on corners & backing vocals but this album is slowley sung before breaking into its embracing, amazing chours: 8/10
FINAL HEARTBREAK: When i 1st listened to this album Final Heartbreak really stood out it's a real karoke song & very Rock'n'Roll its very moving, very fututristic & very up to the momment its excellent & should of been a single! 11/10!
WOMEN IN ME (featuring destiny's child): Wow, ery slow & very soul its nice & easy listening not the best deut i've heard but this tack is loved by all as Destiny's child are know pop smashes while when the sogn was recorded they were just forgotton Columbia Record flops. THIS SONG ISN'T RIGHT up my street but it has too be given some credit! 6/10!
I'VE GOT MY EYES ON YOU: TOO SLOW! would sound better sung higher & faster. Defently unpleasnt! but a good track as i say again its far to slow! 5/10

YOUR FAITH IN ME: lovley truley moving hard to describe its hard to beleive this track gets better every time u lsiten to it! 20/10!
HEART OF INNOCENCE: i went to tne trenches of world war 1 & i had so much sympanthy inside of my i sang this song 11 times it so good! i love it! 20/10!
HIDDEN UKNOWN TRACK "YOU DON'T WHAT LOVE IS":
c-side to "I wanna love you forever" a soft, genlte kind & ive got to say wierd song but stands out strongley! 8/10!

Well, a disappointing album. She has gone for the easy market of pop, & it hasn't worked for her, atleastin England anyway. Her voice is one of those you hear once a decade. From Whitney Houston to Mariah Carey, great voices like Jessica's can be heard. She or her advisers have chosen to waist all that talent on pop crap. She should really be singing strong ballads, only those type of songs will expose the greatnessin her voice.Typically it is the ballads on this album that are the only strong point to it.

Jessica's debut album is an excellent one.THere are uptempo tracks & a load of ballads. All the songs on the album are powerful & bring across an important meaning. Jessica is one of the best artists around. She's pretty & has an excellent voice. The album is also good value with the album containing a bonus track. If you haven't got it you should try it out- whoever you ARE.

The album has a mixture of up-tempo tracks, & soft ballads. The ballads are the best songs on the album, they are brilliant, Jessica sings them perfectly! This album has no faults whatsoever! It is amazing! There's no other word to describe it!
Mainlu for the ballad lovers!! - By: , 24 Feb 2001 I have to admit i was expecting to get an album full of ballads & that is more or less what i got!!! There are some upbeat songs such as 'I think imin love with you' , 'Womanin me', 'Betcha dont love you' & my favourite songs on the album 'Ive got my eyes on you' & 'Final heartbreak', they are all great!! But the 7 remaining songs (this is actually a 12 track album there is a hidden song called 'you dont know what love is' at the end!) are all ballads. Some great (I wanna love you forever, your faithin me, where you are ), some ok (sweet kisses, you dont know what love is, heart of innocence) & some ABYSMAL (my wonderful) yuk!!!! My wonderful will make you cringe & usually i end up turning the whole cd off when i hear that song cause i just cant bear no more!! . Now, for Jessica's voice, some argue she is amazing, some argue she just CANT sing!! But i think she has a lovely voice & it helps that she sings songs which suit it. Only i wish she would try not too push it too far on some of the songs. Take all of this into consideration, & its a great, girly, sweet album & most pop fans will enjoy this very much!!
