THIS WAS THE 1ST WRESTLEMANIA AND IT WAS BRILLIANT, THE MAIN EVENT WAS A TAG TEAM MATCH WHERE HULK HOGAN AND MR.T wiv jimmy snuka WOULD TAKE ON ROWDY RODDY PIPER AND PAUL ORNDOFF wiv ace cowboy bob ortan SPECIAL REF MOHAMMED ALI, GUEST TIME KEEPER LIBERACHY (I THINK THATS HOW U SPELL IT) ALSO THE EXICUTIONER GOES 1 ON 1 AGAINST TITO SANTANA IN THE VERY FIRST MATCH EVA AT WRESTLEMANIA

The grandaddy of them all, the showcase of the immortals & the event that revolutionised sports entertainment.This is where it all started folks, if you are a wrestling fan & you haven't got the very first wrestlemnia then SERIOUSLY shame on you. If you are new to the WWE then you have to get wrestlemania because you can only REALLY get to love the WWE by seeing how it all started & by seing how a tradition starts & how this tradition turnsin to the biggest eventin the WORLD.
Plus this WRESTLEMANIA had some fantastic matches including:
THE 15,000 DOLLAR BODY SLAM MATCH BETWEEN THE LATE GREAT ANDRE THE GIANT AND BIG JOHN STUDD.
ALSO THE ONLY,TO DATE, MAIN EVENT TAG-TEAM MATCH BETWEEN
HULK HOGAN AND MR-T vs. ROWDY RODDY PIPER AND MR WONDERFUL PAUL ORNDORFF WHICH HAS TWO SUPERSTARS WHO ARE STILL WITH US TODAY!
It's WRESTLEMANIA, the biggest thing there is now, the biggest thing there was then & the biggest thing there ever will be.

Fantastic to see all the good old time wrestlers.
Only the music-themes of the wrestlers is replaced by another tune, what a waste.
Also the Liberace show is cut out, why? I don't know. I would give it a 5 star rating, if it wasn't for the cuttings/editing...
The birth of a tradition - By: latour@chello.fr, 02 Sep 2000 March 31, 1985. It was where it all began. The card consisted of a literal Who's Whoin pro wrestling at the time. The show was a great wrestling event, mixed by numerous appearance by non-wrestling performers such as Liberace, Billy Martin & Muhammad Ali. Wrestlemania 1 also developped the Rock n'Wrestling connection when Cindy Lauper took partin the Women's title match. The main event pitted the connection of Mr.T & Hulk Hogan against Paul Orndorff & Roddy Piper, with special referee Muhammad Ali. This is the only Wrestlemania to datein which the main event was a tag team match. Other matches included the IC Title match : JYD vs Greg Valentine. A wwf tag team title match : Volkoff & Iron Sheik vs Windham & Mike Rotunda (later known as IRS). The bodyslam match between André the Giant & Big John Studd. And much more. I give Wrestlemania 1 a 4 star-rate. Ten years ago it would have deserved 5 stars. The reason it only gets 4 stars now is because to fans who only know modern day wrestling, the event might seem a little dull since it was much more catch-as-catch-can than sports entertainment. But wrestlemania 1 is even more important for its significance than for its card itself. Wrestlemania 1 will be remembered for being the birth of a tradition, & the event that really catapulted wrestling to new heights.
