Underrated Free Radical Musings - By: Arth Jay tha Mic Fiend, 24 Aug 2007
Now while many say that Rages best record was the unstoppably furious debut, this is their true masterpiece. Its the sound of a more intelligent & focused band embracing raw experimental sounds. Now while the album is known for its stomping hits (Testify, Guerilla Radio & Sleep nowin the fire) its actually on many of the hidden gems on this album that rage hits on to something. For example the exellent album tracks Born of a Broken Man, where rage fuse the time signatures of Led Zeppelin & the *Loud-Quiet* dynamics of many grunge & prog bands, coupled with Zachs poetry & Tom Morellos achingly sad riff produce one of the bands greatest songs. Theres also more quality stomping on Hip-Hoppers Calm Like a Bomb with more Space Ship noises from Tom Morello & a funky bassline from Timmy C & Mic Check which is virtually a Hip-Hop song gives a good opportunity for Zach to rock the Mic & some exellent DJ Scratching from Tom. While theres too many gems on this album to mention, any Rage against the machine fan or let alone fans of music should own this album. Awesome.
Not as good as Album 1 but good... - By: Mr. R. Ilott, 20 Nov 2006
Let's face it - the first album was dela Rocha at his most vitriollic & angry best. The ONLY reason this album gets 4 stars from me is that it's not *quite* as good as the self titled album. Other than that this is a blindingly good album.

I got thisin a twin pack with Renegades, but I have to be honest & say i've listened to this one much MUCH more. The tunes seem more grungy & rocky, wheeras Renegade seems a bit more beats & raps.

This album could only come second behind RATM but it's a cracking listen anyway.
Rage at there peak - By: Tom Gray, 09 Aug 2006
I would buy this album just from the front cover & the name. I think there awesome. And then i listened to the songs, & i was blown away. Its just so good. Just everything. Definetly worth the effort, even if you have to clean your room for 2 years for the money to buy this album, at least you can listen to musical perfection while you do it.
Not As Good as The first, but still great - By: Mr. T. A. Hall, 10 Jun 2006
Some great songs on here, not as many as 'Rage Against the Machine' but still some good stuff.

Particularly like 'Mic Check', unusual & innovative.
Rage At Their Best! - By: C. Sutherland, 03 Jun 2006
This album is excellent!
I could end the review here & now & just leave that one statement, but this album deserves more.

The Battle Of Los Angeles is,in my opinion, Rage's best album. It contains classic tracks such as 'Guerilla Radio' & 'Testify'. As always the album is loaded with Morello's killer riffs as on the previously listed tracks & many others like my personal favourites 'Maria' & 'Voice Of The Voiceless'. The entire album is very listenable & holds up well after the first few listens.

If like any of the other RATM songs or albums this is by far the best album & one that belongsin every record collection!
