Napalm Death- Leaders Not Followers - By: hypnos@pathwaytodarkness.com, 07 Dec 2000
This CD is an excellent filler, & gives an ideal insight into the band members lives as tape-traders. I'm not usually a hardcore fan, but Politicians & Nazi Punks are both excellent here. The track by Slaughter showcases how funny they were, & how innovative they were at the same time. The Pentagram track makes you wonder why you can't find an album by them anywhere, it's so good. Personally I'm a big fan of Death's & this shows the bandin their formative stages, with an excellently done song again, simple but effective. I love Repulsion too, & Maggots In Your Coffin is as good a cover as Horrified was, when done by Mortician, but you can actually hear it this time!
Overall a good chance to hear what Napalm like, & how good they are at covers...
mental music to mosh to - By: , 07 Jun 2000
this is an awesome album made by a supreme & bloody noisy band. death metal is definately the type of music you listen to when you are angry & want to smash stuff up. don't buy this if you are faint hearted. my favourite songs on this album are "politicians" & "back from the dead"
An intensely pleasurable and exiting experience. - By: nam21@iname.com, 30 Nov 1999
Re-live the old days. Pop this onein the player, turn it up to eleven, strip down to your y-fronts & wrestle your dad on the living room floor. This CD kicks arse.
Six tracks which are all covers versions of Hardcore, Grindcore, thrash & Death Metal bands from the early to mid eighties.
Every track is a winner. Personal favourites are Back from the dead by Death, & Nazi punks fuck off by Dead Kennedys.
Basically, unless you're stupid or have just suffered a terrible bereavement get this now.
