This collection of songs if by no means for the purist looking for a CD of Medieval music. The Babes rework & reinvent the songs giving them a contemporary feel without loosing the otherworldly feeling. The mix of voices are beautiful & I find it's a great relaxing CD

For lovers of medieval (or other) choral harmonies this is a good mix of Olde English, French & Latin works. Some of the arrangements bring a fresh & welcome approach to well worn pieces - like the Coventry Carol. On occasion the balance of voices isn't perfect, but over all it's a great CD.
