Noel Coward at His Cabaret Best - By: Spike, 03 Jun 2000
The Noel Coward Album
This album was recorded livein Las Vegas & New York between 1955 & 1956 & shows Noel Cowardin cabaret at his best.
The album starts off with a medley of some of his most popular songs including 'I'll See You Again', 'Dance, Little Lady', 'Poor Little Rich Girl' etc & progresses on to some quite humorous songs such as 'Uncle Harry', 'A Bar on the Piccola Marina' & 'Alice is at it Again'.
Some of the lyrics of the songs have been changed to suit the audiences of the time, such as Noel's version of Cole Porter's 'Let's Do It'.
This album is well worth investing in, it has everything - wit, great tunes & wonderful lyrics.
If you are interestedin vintage Coward, try the albums 'Compact Coward' or 'A Talent to Amuse'.
Happy Listening!
