superb - By: Mr. Russell C. Witheyman, 19 Jun 2005
I agree totally with the reviwer above here. This LP out of all the Jacksons LP's is easily the best. Theres not a bad track on here. I remeber buying this on vinyl when i was 13 & got it after Thriller cam out. I still play this LP today & snapped it up as soon as it was released on CD. The only downside is that these reissues havent been remasterd unlike Michaels albums which is a shame but is only a minor niggle. The fantastic This place hotel & can you feel it are prbably the best tracks but Lovely one & your ways are divine too. If you like Michael & want to investin a jacksons album..THIS IS THE ONE..get it now!
An absolute truimph! - By: , 12 May 2004
Out of the three CBS releases: Destiny, Truimph & Victory, this is the best. It has 1 more song than the other two, & features better songs. It starts with the most famous track -'can you feel it'. An epic, Michael's vocals make this song brilliant. The 'lovely one' follows, another good song, with a typical Michael Jackson ending. 'Your ways' is alright, not as good as the first two, probably because the vocals are along way up the scale. 'Everybody' is the worst, but isn't that bad. And then there's 'this place hotel' (or that's what it says on the cover - very confusing) - probably the best song & guess what, it is written by Michael Jackson. It has a stunning guitar solo - & starts & endin spectacular fashion. 'Time waits for no-one'. Through composed & a very gentle peace. When the title is sang again & again is when this song is at its best. My favourite track then follows: the long 'walk right now', absolute class. The next track is ruined by a perculiar ending, & is high pitched - though it is still a enjoyable. And then 'wondering who', also a very good track. This happened just before 'Thriller' & was a very good TEAM effort. Arguably the best Jackson album to-date, STUNNING.
Before Jacko was Wacko! - By: , 08 Oct 2003

The Best Jacksons album ever!! - By: , 05 Oct 2001
After the huge success with Off the Wall Michael returned to recording with his brothers & the knowledge he gained from qworking with the great quincy Jones certainly paid off. This album reeks with classic R n B/Pop songs from the ambitious but infectious "can u feel it" to the disco funk of "lovely one " & "walk right now". However the stand out track for me is "heartbreak hotel" this is the first glimpse of the evolution of Michael the superstar a haunting but totally original composition it is one of my favourite MJ songs to date. Enjoy as this is one of the best disco albums ever created.
