Let's be honest... - By: Mr. Tr Roberts, 20 Jan 2008
Let's be honest...this is never a "great" album. It's ok, & there is no shortage of hooks, but the lyrics are so bad they really put you off. Come on - "She's personal property", "make love like a man, i'm a man" - for christ's sake. At least AC/DC can do misogny/lewdness with humour or tonguein cheek as well as better tunes. That said there are a couple of good tracks on here - White Lighting, Tonight, Tear it Down. Worth a listen but please, it's not a great album.
An addictive classic! - By: P. Sheldon, 02 Jul 2007
The album that made me a LEPPARD fanatic!
A great follow up to Hysteria, slick production & some classic Leppard 'air punching' tunes!
This album has a bit of just about everything, some good old rockers (Lets get rocked/I wanna touch u), some ballads (Have you ever needed someone so bad/Stand up) & a true epicin the form of 'White Lightning'
This album topped the charts on both sides of the Atlantic upon its release backin '92, & after just one listen you will see why.
First Album - By: I. M. Street, 06 Mar 2007
This was my first def leppard album that i got...after pleading with my dad to buy it for me backin 1992. It was the appearence of Lets Get Rocked on MTV that bought def leppard to my attention & i immediatly loved the album & after a few plays later i loved the band. With Phil Collen doing most of the Lead Guitar after the tragic death of Steve Clark this left the band a member short but still were able to prduce a great album. Favourite Songs are Lets Get Rocked & the rocking tune I Wanna Touch U
Emerging Storms On The Horizon - By: Phoust, 14 Oct 2006
`Andrenalize' was released 4 years after the mega-successful `Hysteria' &in many ways it is often compared to it's predecessor to it's own detriment. I however can't see why people think less of this album than they do of `Hysteria' because to me it just sounds like `Hysteria' Part II, yet that may be part of the reason. There were great songs on `Adrenalize' from the power ballads of `Heaven Is' & `Have You Ever Wanted Someone So Bad' to hard rockers like ` Tear It Down' & the smutty `Make Love Like A Man' & `Tonight' the socially conscious `White Lightning' to throw away fun like `Let's Get Rocked'. For me Def Leppard represented what rock was supposed to be about: Fun. Def Leppard also had great artwork at the time, something that they seem to have lost sight of (see X) which annoys me terribly because I believein the whole package.

1992 was a terribly uncertain time for a band like Def Leppard when they released `Adrenalize', the previous year had seen the emergence from the underground of Nirvana with their `Nevermind' album. Seismic changes would be put into effect as a result of the emergence of what would be called alternative rock or grunge. It really difficult to pinpoint exactly why things changed, but the fact remains that 80's style hair metal within a year would become a dirty word. However at the time it was not unusual to see bands like Mr Big & Guns `n' Roses alongside Nirvana & R.E.M.in the charts. Def Leppard would later feel the effect of these changes & alter their soundin a bid for survival. Not only Def Leppard but also colossal giant of thrash metal like Metallica & Megadeth would follow suit & as a result 1994 - 1996 will always for me be the years of sell-outs. What they failed to recognise is that at the time fans would happily listen to Nirvana, Def Leppard, Metallica, Deicide, R.E.M., U2, Ice Cube, Culture Beat, Madonna & Snap all on the same day. It wasn't the fan that brought about the changes but the industry jumping on bandwagons, so don't blame fans for your falling fortunes, blame yourself. 1992 was the year that the buying public began to have more choice when it came to music, music was expanding & fracturing into a myriad of genres & sub genres until what we have to today, where what isin the chart is complete crap because what is bought is bought by the musically lazy with no real interestin music. The good stuff is still there, one just has to look for it & that is why the Internet is a vital tool & Amazon a godsend.
Buy it! - By: Mr. S. P. Kippax, 30 Jan 2006
What can you say about this album, put it this way there's nothing bad you can say. After the death of Steve Clark, Leppard outdid themselves by coming up with their best album to datein my opinion. 10 songs of pure genius. "Have you ever" is my faveourite on the album but "White Lightning" is just amazing if listened to properly. Def Leppard fans should already have this album but if there are any out there that dont, hurry up rock fans! Again, keep rockin' Leppard!
