Speaking as someone that has suffered with bouts of depression for long periodsin my life, I have to say that I wish I'd discovered the 'Bonzo's' sooner! This excellent value 2 album set, is a right hoot from start to finish & includes such an eclectic mix of musical ideas & comedy sketches that it never gets boring, even when it gets boring! HA HA HA There's a lot of fun & laughter to be had here & tracks like 'Shirt', 'Ali Baba's Camel', 'Mr Slater's Parrot' & 'Busted' are just the perfect tonic if you are feeling down. Behind the humour however, tracks like 'I Want To Be With You', demonstrate that there was a pretty nifty 'pop band'trying to get out and, on another album, the song could easily pass for a 'summer of love' classic. With so little fun or humour presentin the world of music (or the worldin general I hear you thinking!) listening to The Bonzo's simply re-charges the batteries so why not be the 'Urban Spaceman' yourself & buy this?
absolutely brilliant - By: , 19 Jul 2001 This album includes 'Tadpoles' & 'Keynsham' & is part of the three volume sets of Bonzo Dog. If you're into Monty Python & other similar comedies you'll love this album, it's definately along the same vein. It has mein stitches every time I listen to it, it's extremely witty & will relieve any stress you may be under! I'd recommend this to anyone with an 'English' sense of humour ie:, witty, slightly sarcastic & overall game for a good laugh!
