Customer Reviews
A great introduction to a great talent - By: , 17 May 2000 From the dancehall skank of "Fever" & "Money Money" to the Massive Attack remixes of "Spying Glass" & "One Love", this excellent compilation is the perfect introduction to the work of Reggae's most respected tenor. Whether lambasting the youth of Jamaicain the classic "Skylarking", or praising Jah with "Every Tongue Shall Tell", Andy's haunting vibrato cuts straight to the soul. Bornin Jamaicain 1951, Andy rose to fame with a string of hits recorded at Reggae's most celebrated stable, Studio 1. This period is well represented here, as is his subsequent work with Bunny Lee. There is much more to Horace Andy than just these 14 tracks, but it's a pretty good place to start.
