I bought this CD last Christmas & was enchanted with it. Some tracks have become firm favourites: Adeste, fideles; Es sungen drei Engel & the Queen's College Boar's Head Carol. I'm so impressed with the CD I've come back for more as a present for ex patriot friends.

Not your standard Christmas offering, but a very pleasant introduction to a selection of earlier Christmas music & excellent reworking of familiar stuff - the first track is the best rendition of O Come All Ye Faithful I've ever heard. Emma Kirkby has something of a choirboy sound & the combination of voices, especially on "Es sungen drei Engel" is lovely.

A perfect way to prepare for Christmas.
