Masterpiece! - By: Tom the Bomb, 02 Nov 2008
In my opinion, this is one of the greatest albums ever recorded. I first heard itin 1972 (after Starman had got into the charts) & never looked back - been a bowie fan ever since. Bowie's best album still. It contains classics such as Moonage Daydream & Suffragette City & the Spiders never sounded better. Every track is superb, even the oddly sounding 'It ain't easy' penned by Ron Davies (surely not the same Ron Davies who played for Southampton?. It also seems to have a very intimate feel to it, i.e. the production is so clear its almost like beingin the studio with the musicians.
Says on the album sleeve 'To be played at maximum volume'- indeed it should, all across the land!

getting it off my chest.... - By: blofeld, 28 Oct 2008
I had this new when it came out so it shows how old I am. The record has been reviewedin depth so I won't repeat what's already been said by other reviewers. What I want to say is that this album had a massive impact backin the day partly because we didn't know Bowie then as some sort of Chamelion changing his identity every season. He WAS ziggy stardust...an alien fully formed & here on earth. Everybody who is a Bowie fan has their favourite periods but for me it's this album & the follow up Aladdin Sane, not just because I listened to themin my formative years, but also because of his band, The Spiders. Bowie's played with loads of highly accomplished musicians but none have suited him as well as this band, who he treated pretty damn badly. Here's to Trevor Bolder, Woody Woodmansey & the glorious Mick Ronson, without whom Bowie wouldn't be where he is today.
Spectacular - By: Dannycrisp, 12 Jun 2008
I'll keep it short since others before me have reviewed it better than i could.

This album is one of the top 20 of all time & one of my personal favourite records. There's no better collection of tracks put together on an LP & Moonage Daydream maybe one of the best Rock songs of all time.
Every household should have this album
The Best Album of All Time - By: Mr Presley, 07 Apr 2008
Ziggy Stardust was the greatest rock creation of all-time & this is the best album ever made.
Every single track is a classic, a gem , a work of art.
David Bowie is a living legend & the most talented performerin the history of showbiz.
Fact.
Ziggy Stardust to Garry Johnson - By: Fred Bookie, 29 Mar 2008
This is David Bowie at his brilliant best & without dout the best rock album of all-time.
It inspired everyone from John Lydon to punk poet Garry Johnson to make music.
Every track on this album is a classic. The vocals, the lyrics, the tunes are all 100% perfection.
I have seen Bowie around 30 timesin concert, I have seen all the tribute bands from The Bewley Brothers to The Buzz Kids - but no-one does it like Ziggy Stardust.
Pop perfection are the two words that sum up this album.
