excellent - By: Maxi-D, 25 Mar 2007
few words could sum up the master of parody weird al & this cd gathers some of his greatest hits togetherin one glorious volume with hits such as like a surgeon, dare to be stupid, eat it & i lost on jeopardy. the only thing that i could possibly grumble about is the fact that other songs such as another one rides the bus & my bologna are missing which is a shame however if you are new to weird al then you have to buy this!
Unbelievably poor. - By: Alec Brogan, 18 Oct 2006
Wierd Al Yankovic is about as funny as finding out a relative has died. Simply changing certain words to songs & making stupid facesin videos is not witty. I hate him & everything he stands for. My ex-friend played this album excessively thinking it was funny. We no longer speak after i threatened to eviscerate him. Don't buy this, for humours's sake.
The perfect antidote to all those love songs - By: , 14 Mar 2002
This album is intended for those who tire of the same lyrics & same story-line dominating popular music. Take the best composed & arranged tunes & modify the words. What have we got, something that at last is different.
Yankovic has the ability to throw scorn & ridicule on modern society. This is demonstrated from track1 "Fat", a take on Michael Jackson's "Bad" through to the spoof version of Madonna's "Like a virgin", now relabelled "Like a surgeon". How can he fail to please. The best of modern music with verbal jokes.
If you like Monty Python or The Goons this will appeal to you.
It is not targetted at moonstruck lovers, or fans of Jackson. It is for those who are bored with unadventrous popular music.
