george the terrible - By: C. WARDLE, 05 Nov 2008
Oh dear oh dear . Despite all Georgee does to make himself a total laughing stock , out the good folk of this world dash to get another slab of his geniusin concert or on CD's such as this . Honestly people , you can do better . Not one of these dirges sticksin the mind long enough to be forgettable , they just drift through the mind with the impact of a car insurance advert , but at least you need to have car insurance . Take it from me you really don't have to listen to George . Your ears not were designed to be used so badly .
Wham Magic Man - By: John Smith, 13 Sep 2008
Before Wham George Michael was `discovered` singingin a mod band by pop mogul Hughie Gadson & the rest they say is `pop history``.
Hu launched George on the road to superstardom & deserves his placein pop history.
Gadson also discovered EMF & co-wrote their hit "Your Unbelievable" - but it is George Michael we are here to talk about & this album is a tribute to rhe peter pan of pop.
Ultimate Indulgence. - By: laineyf, 27 Mar 2008
Oh George, I do love you. This is a fabulous, fantastic, wonderful album. It is full of milestone music, things that relate to various stagesin my life. There are so many tracks that have such relevance for me, A Different Corner, You have been Loved, Jesus to a Child, Father Figure, Somebody to Love, to name just a few! There are no disappointing tracks on this album, nothing that I don't like, just sheer quality, perfect music & vocals. I love One More Try, it moves me to tears,in fact, I love EVERYTHING. I think that George Michael is a true genius, a true performer, a true Magician. He can make music do so many things, make you laugh, make you dance, make you cry, make you sing. It's just perfect. Like George.
Wham the Mainman - By: Winston Edwards, 25 Apr 2007
I danced to all these songs at Charlie Chans & the Epping Forest Country Club.
George is the mainman & Faith will always remind of Julie Taylor the exotic go-go dancer / stripper at The Sir John Franklin.
Every track is a classic & this collection is a fitting tribute to a pop legend.
Bottle of wine required, chill guaranteed but don't drive ! - By: sm, 03 Feb 2007
I was a closet George Michael fan, secretly liking the music but frightenedin case anybody found out.It was my secret. Then i watched a GM documentary & realised just how seriously George took his music.Demanding of all who worked with himin trying for perfection. His Wham period was enjoyablein bubble-gum way but this Guy was a serious musician.I decided to add to my collection with this Album & it blew me away.First time i played it ,i wanted to reach for the wine & chill right down,WOW! I played itin the car expecting it to be great, eight speakers, but i couldn't get the same feeling. At home, with the wine,it chilled me down so all problems were forgotten. This is a fantastic way to relax & unwind. The Album has duets with Aretha,Elton & Mary J Blige & a track with Queen,Ballads,Funky Pop & Dance,it's superb.GM might lead a colourful personal life, who cares?, but he is up there with the Greats if this Album is anything to go on.Buy it along with a bottle of wine & relax like never before.
