Stupidity,No. Just Brilliant - By: XJSilvercat, 06 Jun 2010
I Have been a Dr Feelgood nut since the 1970's. I used to own this on Vinyl & I'm now updating all my Old Vinyl to CD. Still as good as ever, my interest has been renewed by the recent BBC 4 'Oil City Confidential' programme.
Renewing will take some time, but to quote the Feelgoods ' As long as the price is right'
Pub Rock for ever.
essential live album - By: S. J. Bizley, 24 Apr 2010
If you like the early stones or punk you'll like this. Punchy, rhythmic rock delivered one after another. The original album was great, but with this you get the extra tracks that only appeared on a limited edition EP plus the best songs live from the post-wilko johnson era. Magic stuff.
Best Live Album Ever...really - By: mgv smith, 01 Nov 2009
I agree with many of the reviews here. For those of a certain age they may remember like myself first seeing the feelgoods on a silly pop programme called 'The Geordie Scene'. They were the tightest, dirtiest, funniest band I had ever seen & they didn't disappoint when I saw them live a few years later. This record captures them just as they were. A band truelyin need of greater recognition for their contribution to British RnB.
Made to make you feelgood. - By: Mr. P. N. Cairns, 05 May 2009
As other reviewers have said i also tend to steer well clear of live albums, most are filled with over long drum or guitar solo's.This cd however is an exception to the rule,it showcases Dr Feelgood at the height of their power. From the start you can feel the atmosphere build from the first cord of i'm talking about you,and the pace never lets up.It has been said that stupidity was the first live cd to go straightin at no 1 on it's release. If you only buy one live cd &you like your music with a raw edge, get this cd.It's also worth searching out the extended version, which i have this version contains 24 tracks not 15!
