HERE COME THE GAGGERS!!!! - By: , 05 Jul 2005
I am a huge fan of the brit pop of the late nineties & this compilation is able to catch some classics including tracks from artists like the verve & radiohead & also some real feel good classics like brimful of asha, the ballad of tom jones & the classic let me entertain you from robbie williams.
So if you want an incite back to when there was (apart from the odd crappy boy/girl band track) decent musicin the pop charts which actually partially out weighed the horrendous comerciallized filth that continually pollutes our charts then give this classic compilation a go.
However it would be unfair for me not to mention the draw backs of this compilation because there are a few. These include some tracks which when i name them still make me cringe from the inside & some which make me actually gag!! (but chuckle to myself at the same time) from being needlessly overplayed.
Let me mention a few cringers: first up oh yes miyahahaaaaa (cringe noise) boyzone i won't even name the track there all terrible!!! backstreet boys - hmmf
HERE COME THE GAGGERS!!!!: first up a well known band who have to my relief split up so they can no longer offend the word music!! (steps) & their track 5,6 oh no just wait a minute i jus nee d t ooo umwaaaaaaaaaaah (puke) 7,8.
Next a track which actually traumatized me at a young age & made me want to ask mummy to please, "never let me listen to that puke music ever again!". A clue is, it made me doubt my little plastic commando friend's sexuality, YES!!! its BARBIE GIRL - oh i want to cry!!! WHY DID THEY HAVE TO RUIN THIS CD!!!!!!!
And there you are, a summary of potetntially awesome CD where it's brilliant classic tracks are some what dragged down by the completely terrible commercialized alternatives. still,
GIVE IT A TRY!!!!
