Ella & Oscar, & nine classic songs. Almost 45 minutes of Ella`s wonderful vocals wrapped around Oscar`s sensitive piano playing(or vice-versa?)Sometimes it`s hard to tell where one ends & the other begins,such is the exquisite interweaving of voice & piano.On four tracks they are assisted by bassist Ray Brown. They don`t make them like this anymore!The new 20 bit remastering is first class. A classic for your collection,and absolutely timeless.

a combination of one of the greatest songstresses & jazz pianists of the 20th century- how could it go wrong?

ella's great voice still flows like silk, ringing so warm to the heart. accompanied by the ever beautiful peterson piano- so wonderfully interweaving & yet never overpowering ella's voice: just imagine peterson's pianoin "ella & louis" but this time playing a more prominent role... almost dueting with ella.
