This is not a DVD-Audio - By: Nigel Smith, 30 Jan 2008
Having purchased this item myself & with two 'Universal Players' capable of playing surround DVD-Audio (and SACD), I can confirm that unfortunately this item is just DTS Surround & does NOT contain DVD-Audio. I say this because a DVD-Audio option does not appear when the disc is loaded into a DVD-Audio player, nor is there any mention of DVD-Audioin the accompanying packaging with the disc. A shame, because the Surround Sound is good even with DTS (but is likely to have been even better with the higher bit & sampling rate of DVD-Audio). Therefore just 3 stars, because the sound won't be any better than the DVD (with DTS), which also includes the video of the concert.
This is NOT a DVD-AUDIO as advertised! - By: Seulean Tudor Iustin, 18 Sep 2007
This is not a DVD-Audio as advertised unfortunately: I received it today & it'sin fact a CD recordedin DTS mode. The DVD-Audio mode on a 5.1 surround system requires one RCA interconnect per channel - that's 6 interconnect cablesin all linking the DVD player to the AV receiver - THAT'S DVD Audio! For instance, on my Queen - The Game DVD-Audio, under "audio setup" you can choose between DVD-Audio & DTS modes - which only shows that they're not the same thing! I feel I have been tricked by the product description which says "DVD-Audio." I have the Hell Freezes Over DVD video & IT'S soundtrack is DTS - so now I have two Hell Freezes Oversin DTS! Otherwise, the sound on this product is very good, although I must say, the soundtrack on the DVD video sounds better than this DTS CD.
On a different note: the music is absolutely superb! Great concert versions of some of their best songs. Beautiful album!

How can someone say that the Eagles are BLAND.....! To have kept a standard of performance over 30 odd years that makes new stars of today pail into insignificance is incredible.
As the song says "Get over it....!" From that moment (through three other tracks that show syle & good song writing still exsistin this age) passing through songs that still sound good on CD, DVD as it did on plain old plastic the soul finds its youth. When my son 11 year old decides to pick up this album & learn the songs for his schools recital do you know that it touches everyone

A dreadul, bloodless performance of songs that were bland to begin with. With the possible exception of a laid-back, acoustic Hotel California (for which one star), this is a soporific, white-bread album where any possible rough edges have been smoothed to perfection for easy assimilation.
Whichever genius decided to open with four new studio tracks (that plumb new depths of dullness) followed by a "live" set which barely qualifies for that description deserves a medal for sheer idiocy. Choose The Eagles' least threatening, least interesting songs: that's right, Tequila Sunrise, I Can't Tell You Why, Wasted Time et al. Now take away any semblance of a pulse they may have had, & here's the result.
It cost me five Euroin a sale - I was robbed.
